Our First Delta Robot Sale — Built Entirely In-House
By Omar Abdulhadi, PhD · July 8, 2026
Every journey has a first milestone, and today marks one for Adeeb Robotics: we have sold our very first robot.
For a young engineering company, a first sale is more than a revenue event. It is the point where a design leaves the lab and has to perform for someone else. We want to share why this one matters to us, and what it means for engineers evaluating a delta robot for their own line.
Every Layer Developed In-House
What makes this milestone especially meaningful is that every aspect of the robot was developed in-house — from the mechanical design and precision machining to the electronics and software.
That is not the usual path. Many delta robots are assembled from a patchwork of third-party arms, drives, controllers, and motion software, and integration happens at the seams between vendors. We took the opposite approach. The same team designed the parallel-kinematic mechanism, machined the parts, built the electronics, and wrote the control stack that drives it:
- Mechanics and machining — the Delta Robot offers a 1000 mm workspace diameter, ±0.05 mm repeatability, and 100+ picks per minute.
- Control software — the Robot Controller is our in-house control software, with high-speed conveyor tracking and a Python API for custom application logic.
- Fieldbus — the robot communicates natively over EtherCAT, using our EtherCAT Master for deterministic multi-axis coordination.
When one team owns the whole stack, there is no finger-pointing between suppliers. If a motion profile needs tuning or a timing issue appears on the bus, the people who wrote the code and machined the joints are the ones answering the question.
Documentation You Can Actually Build From
The original announcement included a carousel of exploded views of the robot, and that reflects a deliberate choice. As we put it then: this is the only DIY industrial delta robot on the market that provides this level of detail for assembly, calibration, and setup.
For teams that want to understand — and maintain — the machine they deploy, that detail matters. The Delta Robot Manual covers stand configuration, end effector mounting, and the reachable workspace, and our training videos walk through running the Robot Controller and EtherCAT Master on Linux, macOS, and Windows.
Transparency is not just a documentation preference. A robot you can assemble, calibrate, and set up yourself is a robot your own engineers can service without waiting on an outside integrator.
What a First Sale Proves
A first sale validates more than the hardware. It shows that the full system — mechanism, electronics, controller, and EtherCAT master — works together as a product someone is willing to put on their floor. It also means we now carry real-world feedback back into the next iteration of every layer we own.
If you want to see how a vertically integrated stack performs in a production application, our recycling sorting case study describes a vision-guided Delta robot cell built with the Robot Controller’s Python API and the EtherCAT Master.
Thank You
This is just the beginning, and we are excited for what lies ahead. A huge thank you to everyone who has supported us along the way — and to our first customer for placing their trust in a robot built from the ground up by our team.
